Australian Esports League (AEL) joins forces with leading Australian pop culture convention, Oz Comic-Con!
They are bringing their free play gaming zone and esports tournaments to each show!
AEL recognises the importance of building ‘Grassroots” Esports and Oz Comic-Con is the perfect platform to deliver Esports and gaming to a broader audience as well as connecting to esports fans and players. This partnership will help expand and grow the current AEL programs as well as providing their partners with the opportunity to showcase the latest esports and gaming products, including monitors, headsets and the latest games.
The Australian Esports League are excited to host a number of pick-up competitions and free play gaming opportunities at Oz Comic-Con!
We welcome all attendees to come along to the booth and sign-up to play games like Super Smash Bro’s Ultimate, Rocket League, Mario Kart, Warzone, Halo: Infinite, Age of Empires IV and more games! We will have Nintendo Switches out thanks to partners AOC Monitors and RIG Gaming, plus Gaming PC’s thanks to Acer ANZ. Come and have a game with the AEL!

All Aboard the Astral Express (an adventure for 5th level characters)
Each year Klaus the Kindhearted takes his Astral Express and flies across the planes delivering presents to all the good children of the multiverse. This year, it picked up an unexpected hitchhiker. The Gingerdead man, confectionary horror from the abyss, who corrupts all that he touches. Unable to remove this evil alone, Klaus has summoned good souls from across the planes in hopes they can defeat this monster, and save the holiday!
“The Heist before Christmas” (adventure for level 2 characters)
‘Twas the night before Christmas and while Santa rested his prized Snowglobe, the source of his magical abilities was Stolen. Only one person is brazen enough to do this. Jack Frost. To add insult to injury Jack Frost has also made off with 5,000 gold pieces stolen from an Orphan’s charity. Santa has now tasked the most mischievous individuals from the naughty list to steal them back from Jack Frost’s “Frostmas” themed casino. It sounds risky and Jack Frost plays for keeps, but sometimes you have to be a little naughty to be nice. Will you be able to steal from the King of Snow and save Christmas?
The Rescue Clause: (adventure for level 1 characters)
You are a member of the newly formed Elvish Assault & Recon Squad (or EARS).
It is the eve of Winterscrest, and your team are hastily assembled, and teleported using sugar-based alchemy to the last known location of the head-elf, Stanley No’ell.
He was on a mission to bring gifts to the neighbouring human settlement as a sign of friendship between the races, but communications were cut.
You arrive to a scene of bedlam; the giant woolly beasts that were pulling the enchanted sled are milling around but there is no sign of the sled.
Stanley is there, recovering from what appears to be a nasty bump on the head.
“Gremlins! Sneak-thief Gremlins have taken the gifts and the sled! Winterscrest will be ruined if they are not recovered…” He bellows.
Steeling yourself against the bitter winter chill, you grit your teeth and look toward the nearby forest- sled tracks easily visible in the deep snow. This is what you signed up for- time to save this holy day.
Gnome Alone ( An adventure for level 5 characters)
“It is the night before Krimbus; joy and cheer fill the streets of Tarmuth. Residents fill their homes with gifts and decorations that spill out onto the street lighting up the snowy village streets with colourful light displays and tacky ornaments. A group of Gnomes fresh off the ship from Gnomen Torr have rented the Timberhoof winery estate to celebrate their first white Krimbus and have excitedly began taking part in the town’s traditions.
Little do they know that lurking in the shadows are two dastardly kobolds that have mistaken our gnomes for children….children left unattended… children left unattended in an estate filled with fine wines, presents and treasure….”
Gnome-Alone is a reverse dungeon crawl in which the players set up traps and tricks to thwart the would be thieves and stop them from ruining Krimbus!
Embark on a D&D one-shot adventure and begin the epic tale of your character in the Adventurers League ongoing campaign!
The D&D Adventurers League is the official organised play system for Dungeons and Dragons 5th edition. It’s an ongoing living campaign frequently run in game stores and conventions all over the world and allows you to play your character anywhere and any time that suits you. You have the option to start your adventure by picking up one of the available pre-generated characters at the signup desk or creating your own with the official Adventurers League rules.
One-shot adventures will be available all through the weekend both in the morning and afternoon. These games are beginner-friendly and all materials players might need will be provided at the table. Hi there! We are Savage Bear Podcast; an Australian podcast playing through tabletop RPG’s. Currently we are unfolding a story in a Pathfinder 2nd Edition campaign setting within the world of Golarion. You’ll find The Circus of Wayward Wonders in those episodes as well as a small play through of our side series. In our side series, uncover the mysteries and unsolved unnatural cases of the modern eldritch horror RPG Delta Green; set right here in our own world; you might have even visited some of the cities the agents are finding evidence in.
We will be running games of Pathfinder 2nd Edition in the tabletop RPG section of the Oz Comic-Con Sydney on both Saturday & Sunday all day, for anyone to sign up, from beginners all the way to seasoned adventurers! Proudly presenting TTRPG: Fragged Empire 2nd Edition
Presented by the Australian author Wade Dyer & Community Content Manager Lauren Waller. | Games should last between 2 to 3 hours, for up to 5 Players. Starting 10am & 1pm both days. | Prior experience not required!
Fragged Empire is a post-post-apocalyptic sci-fi setting where your people are just now returning to space following a century of hiding during the aftermath of a galactic war where the Nephilim and their X’ion master successfully defeated the Archons and their servile nations. It’s a universe that leans heavily into themes of cultural tension and exploration, with a dash of transhumanism, nation-building and a hope for a better future.
A typical game of Fragged Empire will see you and your friends take on the role of a character from one of eight core species. You will join together to form a ragtag band of misfits who travel around the sector in a spaceship taking odd jobs and getting into trouble.
