Trading Post T&C's:

Trading collectibles like Pokémon cards or Disney pins at community meetups can be a fun and rewarding experience. Here are some general rules and guidelines to ensure everyone has a positive experience:

1. The Trading Post is not a space for retail sales or soliciting sales. If you are found do be selling in any way by the Oz Comic-Con team, you will be asked to leave.

2. Both parties must be satisfied with a proposed trade.

3. Understand the value: Familiarize yourself with the rarity, condition, and market value of your items. This helps prevent accidental trades that feel unfair later.

4. Research trading etiquette: Learn about the specific trading culture for your community or item (e.g., Pokémon cards, Disney pins).

5. Inspect items carefully: Check for damage, authenticity, or counterfeits before agreeing to a trade.

6. Trade value for value: Aim for trades where both parties feel the items exchanged are of equal or agreed-upon value.

7. Be transparent: Disclose any flaws or details about your item’s condition upfront.

8. Ask before touching: Always seek permission before handling someone else’s items.

9. Respect “no” responses: If someone declines a trade, accept it graciously.

10. Be patient: Some traders may need time to consider or compare options.

11. Avoid pressuring others: Ensure all trades are consensual and without coercion.

By adhering to these guidelines, trading at community meetups can remain fun, fair, and stress-free for everyone involved.

And here are just some general tips to help you have a great trading experience!

1. Have a checklist: Keep a list of items you’re willing to trade and those you’re looking for.

2. Engage with the community: Networking with other collectors can lead to more opportunities in the future.
