Helen is a Perth-based cosplayer, wife, and mum who has been “making chaos” in the cosplay community since 2017. Starting her cosplay journey a little later than some, she has embraced the craft wholeheartedly, even earning the title of Oz Comic-Con Perth Champion of Cosplay in 2025!
Cosplay allows Helen to combine her many ADHD hobbies into one ever-evolving art form. She is especially drawn to original designs, fan art interpretations, and original characters, thriving on the challenge of adding depth and intricate detailing to characters who may initially seem simple. Whether drawing on historical references, in-universe lore, or subtle personality callbacks, she loves finding ways to enrich and elevate every design.
Helen firmly believes cosplay is for everyone, whether you create from scratch, commission talented makers, or purchase your costumes. To her, the heart of cosplay lies in creativity, community, and self-expression. A lifelong learner at heart, she champions the idea that we never stop growing – whether you’re 8 or 80, there’s always a new skill to explore or an old one to refine. Always grow. Always learn.
