The District is the activity melding pot. It’s a great place to check out if you want to browse or take part in our drawing competition, have a draw on the scribble wall, learn some origami or take part in some papercrafts or take part in some of our interactive comic and illustrator guest workshops! The District will play host to our cosplay group meet ups throughout the weekend with its photo wall. There’s a little bit of something for everyone in The District.

Start in The District and work your way around the show snapping photos in front of our many incredible photo wall backdrops! From city scapes, winter mountains complete with dragon and Japanese cherry blossom gardens, to post apocalyptic wastelands, retro video games and fantasy unicorns, there’s a backdrop for every mood to snap the perfect momento of your incredible Oz Comic-Con weekend in front of while you’re at the show!
Our epic scribble wall returns to The District for 2021. For all you colouring addicts out there, it’s time for you to scratch that itch to leave your mark!
Be sure to check out the schedule of comic artist and illustrator guest interactive workshop panels taking place in The District across the weekend! If you want to get an up close and personal tutorial from some of the best Australian illustrators in the business, this is your chance!
If you fancy yourself an artist, head over to The District to take part in our official Drawing Competition. Entries are open all weekend until 3pm Sunday. You can draw in any medium you like, pencil, markers etc. As long as it’s drawn on an official competition entry sheet at the show you can enter! We will have drawing supplies available to use. There’s several prizes to be won. There’s even a kids category for our littlest artists!
If colouring in and papercrafts is more your speed head over to The District to chill out and take part in some colouring sheets or have a go at the various papercrafts we have available.

The Cosplay Parade is a great event showcasing the talent of cosplayers at Oz Comic-Con! It gives everyone the chance to get up on stage and strut their stuff no matter your skill level. The parade is for cosplayers who just want to show off their cosplay and have fun!
You can enter this as either an individual or as a group and both handmade and store bought costumes are eligible to participate. This event is a great way to build confidence for those wishing to enter competitions in the future!
To enter this event at any show, just check which day it’s on the schedule, and head to the cosplay registration desk located at Cosplay Central before 1:00PM on the scheduled day secure your spot. The Cosplay Parade is open to all participants of any skill level aged 12 years or older!
The kids cosplay parade is a great way for our littlest cosplayers to get into the cosplay spirit! Once the parade begins, kids can go on stage either on their own, in a group or for those who are either too little or too shy, with a guardian. Come and see the tiniest and cutest cosplayers all at the one event!
To enter this event just head to the cosplay registration desk located at Cosplay Central before 12:00PM on the scheduled day of the Parade and secure your spot.
Kids can enter this as either an individual or as a group and both handmade and store bought costumes are eligible to participate. The Kids Cosplay Parade is open to all participants ages 0 – 12 years old inclusive!
Local cosplay photographers will be present, ready to take your photo in Cosplay Central. And the best part? All photo sessions are complimentary! Check out your cosplay snaps after the show in our social media albums!
Sometimes your cosplay goes awry. That’s why we have a cosplay change room featuring a cosplay repair station and a team and supplies on hand to help you with your cosplay repairs.
