Cat Sparks
Cat Sparks is a multi-award-winning Australian author, editor and artist with a PhD examining ecocatastrophe science fiction and contemporary climate fiction. Career highlights include Fiction Editor for Cosmos Magazine; running Agog! Press; SF Festival Director; panellist at events ranging from South By Southwest in Austin to ACMI in Melbourne; archaeological dig photographer in Jordan & studying with Margaret Atwood in Florida. She has 90+ published short stories, one novel Lotus Blue (2017), three collections: The Bride Price (2013), Dark Harvest (2020) and Calvaria Fell (2024) – a shared world collection with Kaaron Warren. Other interests include climate activism & bird photography.
