With 8 years of cosplay behind, I realised how much I loved costume construction and have ventured into making more of my costumes. The enjoyment of planning, fabric researching, construction, the whole process ignites a passion within me. I just fell in love with the community and how supportive everyone is, how excited we all are with pop culture and be inspired on a daily. My favourite part of the cosplay community is the collaboration between incredible creatives.
From meeting new friends to finding my love in costume construction to starting my cosplay podcast ‘Hidden Language of Cosplay’ to dabbling into cosplay photography, this journey has been life-changing. I am now confident to do elaborate costumes like Elise de la Serre from Assassin’s Creed and the iconic burgandy Elizabeth Swan dress for my upcoming sewing projects; maybe venture down the path of competitions!
Who knows what the future may hold!
