I have cosplayed since 2012, intermittently throughout the years. It has always been a satisfying hobby of mine which I aim to improve each year. I am a self taught at sewing and I mostly learn from youtube and google with lots of trial and error.
I aim to create my cosplays as much as I can as it brings me joy to accomplish a new costume.
Usually, I make 1-3 costumes each year depending on how much time I have, but I certainly like to put lots of details and effort into a costume and prop. Otherwise I also enjoy modifying pre-made costumes to create more structure and depth with accessories.
I usually get motivated by other cosplayers who ask me to cosplay with them so I like to plan for duo cosplays.
My most recent cosplays I have made are from Genshin Impact as I absolutely enjoy the design and details of the costumes.
I like how cosplay inspires me to challenge myself to make something 2D/3D into reality.
I have also branched out into photography as well. I was initially interested in learning to use a camera to take photos of my cosplays but now I enjoy taking portraits of fellow cosplayers. I like being able to be creative and capture the characters in their best scene.
Throughout my cosplay journey, I have learnt many skills and have had the opportunity to meet like-minded people.
This is my first time on cosplay spotlight featuring talented BADCATBAD cosplayer who also is amazing at sewing and beading embroidery and we hope to see you at Oz Comic-Con Sydney!
