What began as a love for anime, manga, and dressing up as a child soon grew into a fully-fledged cosplay journey. After discovering the community through conventions, she quickly transitioned from wearing simple costumes for fun to diving headfirst into the craft of creating her own. With every project, Chantilly challenges herself to learn new techniques — from resin casting and embroidery to armour building and more — always striving to push her skills further while embodying her favourite characters.

For Chantilly, cosplay is more than costuming; it’s a source of confidence and self-expression. By stepping into the shoes of powerful or playful characters, she has embraced the art of “fake it till you make it,” finding strength in performance while sharing joy with others. Her dedication to growth, creativity, and connection has made her a familiar face in the Australian cosplay community.

One of Chantilly’s most treasured memories came in 2024, when she competed at Oz Comic-Con Brisbane with her intricately crafted Fairy Boosette cosplay. Not only did she take home the Wildcard Award, but she was also crowned the Brisbane Champion of Cosplay — an emotional, unforgettable moment that she recalls with pride. Representing Brisbane at the Australian Championships in Sydney was the icing on the cake, where she forged lasting friendships and celebrated the incredible talent of her fellow cosplayers.
