Kathryn is a Perth-born illustrator and art director with experience spanning a multitude of art disciplines and practices. She began her career developing comics with Gestalt and created artwork for the graphic novel “Fly.” She also contributed to the highly successful Kickstarter art anthology “Before, After and In-Between.”
Ten years ago Kathryn brought her skills to Hong Kong and branched out into the gaming industry by leading visual development for indie studios, and participating in annual Global Game Jams. She then moved onto digital agencies that produce virtual and augmented reality experiences, games and brand identities for a wide range of industries across the globe.
In 2021 she worked with Redress HK in collaboration with the Environment and Conservation Fund and the Environmental Campaign Committee to create a bilingual comic called “Yoyo and the World’s Coolest T-shirt,” an educational comic book about sustainable fashion
She has also been a contracted illustrator for clients such as Summerfall Studios (Creators of AGDA award winning musical game Stray Gods) and Studio ZA/UM (Creators of Disco Elysium).
This will be Kathryn’s first Oz-Comic Con since returning back to her home city.
