CHRISTOPHER SEQUEIRA is an editor and writer who specialises in the mystery, horror, fantasy, science fiction and superhero genres; working in the prose, comic-book script and screenplay formats.
Sequeira has written comics for major US comics companies like Marvel (Iron Man, X-Men’s Dazzler), DC (Justice League Adventures), Dynamite (Justice, Inc.–The Avenger), Boom! Studios (Cthulhu Tales), as well as having published, created characters, edited, and written for a variety of Australian companies such as Sequence Productions, Black House Comics (Dark Detective: Sherlock Holmes) and Australia’s biggest comics producer, Frew Publications where he has written various adventures of Lee Falk’s The Phantom, including one of Frew Readers’ Top 10 choices for 2018 favourite; Phantom by Gaslight. He also revived Frew’s PlanetMan and will be penning further adventures of that character (set in Australia)!
In prose, Sequeira has recently released the Sci-Fi-Mystery anthology he conceived Sherlock Holmes and Doctor Was Not (IFWG Publishing), which features such lauded authors as Bram Stoker Award-winning Nancy Holder, Batman comics legend Denny O’Neil, novelist Rafe McGregor, and Ron (‘Green Hornet’) Fortier; as well as on-going volumes in the Cthulhu Deep Down Under series he co-edits with Steve Proposch and Bryce Stevens, and later this year a paperback edition is coming of Sequeira’s Sherlock Holmes: The Australian Casebook (Echo / Bonnier / Zaffre). June also brings another Proposch-Stevens-Sequeira prose anthology War of the Worlds: Battleground Australia (Clan Destine Press).
But–especially exciting for Oz Comic Con in 2019–Sequeira is thrilled, alongside Black House Comics (in association with IFWG Publishing) to be exclusively launching SuperAustralians; a full length graphic novel featuring 12 Australian superheroes battling a series of diabolical menaces across the length of breadth of the country, with chapters written and drawn by some of the best-known comics writers (including Sequeira) and artists (including W. Chew ‘Chewie’ Chan, collaborating with Sequeira on a chapter featuring their mysterious homegrown hero LYREBIRD!) in the nation! The book will be available at Oz Comic-Con in September, before the book goes to retail stores before Christmas!
